The challenge
A health insurance provider managing group and individual plans, including dental and general insurance products, exchanged data with partners, vendors and internal systems. Handling that traffic reliably, securely and in compliance needed far more automation than manual file handling allowed.
Our solution
We built the .NET and Azure integration layer that sits between the insurer’s platforms and its partners.
- Enterprise .NET Core Web APIs supporting group and individual insurance plan management
- EDI 850 (Purchase Order) and 214 (Shipment Status) workflows, including validation, mapping, transformation and error handling
- Secure AS2-based communication for B2B document exchange with integrity and compliance controls
- Azure Functions for automated EDI file processing, scheduling and hand-off to downstream systems
- Optimised SQL Server stored procedures and ETL for high-volume transactional data
- Monitoring and tuning of EDI and API traffic in production, delivered in Agile sprints with distributed stakeholders
